Note To Self

Dear Self,

You are not really all that clever. When you find a lake with lovely trails on it and no one is swimming on it, there's a reason. You thought you were clever - looking up the toxicity of the lake (it was fairly pristine) and just thinking that YOU had discovered the long lost watering hole of Narnia. There was no algae, no muddy inbanks, and best of all, no people. But the fact that there are no people is not because the rest of the world is lazy and ignorant of this close, convenient, clean lake with trails. It's because of the leeches.

Next time, remember that you are not the Indiana Jones of Mid-Atlantic lakes. And if no one else is swimming there, perhaps you should not either.

Smooches,

Your Brain
