Who says small actions aren't heard?

Here’s the deal: a group of wonderful Georgetown (GULC) students organized a protest against Gonzales’s speech justifying the legitimacy of the NSA and wiretapping (read: spying) and making a statement about the torture doctrine. Many more of us joined in, and the response has been overwhelming. I’m thrilled to be a part of it, and I want to spread awareness of it as much as possible. Given that, I will post one of my conglomerations regarding sources that are discussing or reporting on the protest. I will update and add to this as needed.
Check out your evening news tonight, folks – it’s gonna be interesting. This is especially meaningful because of the relative apathy that has characterized the liberal front regarding this administration. perhaps we’ve finally got that punch in the face we’ve all needed to get out of our seats. Between the inspirational Gore speech, Leahy’s courageous comments regarding Alito, and the student response to the big AG, I’m feeling rather hopeful. This is why I went to law school in D.C. I’ll write more on that idea later, but for now, here’s the info:

Hey, love the list, but some of the links appear to not be working -- all the sites in one block link to the same thing. Just FYI.
I see.. well, that certainly isn't because I was in (ahem) class while I was writing this post.
Thanks!
Were you one of the students protesting today? If so, THANK YOU! This diary at Daily Kos went up when CSPAN began coverage this morning at the forum, and there's a whole lot of folks there that are absolutely thrilled with what you all did today.
THANK YOU! I don't know any of you but I'm so damn proud of you! Great work, and congrats on all of the media coverage. You deserve it.

Please share my gratitude for this protest with all involved-and a standing ovation with foot stamping and whistles too!
A specific tip of my hat to the owner of the "Tap This" ass-
I was googling for a way to share my appreciation after reading the DKos diary, and then a commenter (prob Valarie above) gave your link.
Thank you all-
Susan
Thanks Valarie and Susan,
I will pass your messages on. We've got a lot of great people involved, and they'll be happy to hear it affected so many.
Also - Valerie: I was one of the students at the protest. You can find another protesting-student's blog at scoplaw.blogs.com
You guys rock so hard. I wish I could have been there to show my support.
(And to show Abu Gonzales my ass. "Tap this" indeed!!)
Thank you so very much for taking a stand today. It was heartening and I hope to see many more actions like this, following your example.
Thanks for the fix -- also, I meant to say well done. I'm appalled that I wasn't even aware he was speaking until I was on my break and saw him storm out of the lecture hall, surrounded by a gaggle of secret service, and scream "WE'RE PROTECTING YOUR RIGHTS" to no one in particular in the atrium before leaving the building in a huff. Sorry I missed the opportunity to participate, but well done. Well done.
EK- thanks, always good to hear from God's Gift to Women. That's really AWESOME that you were there to hear that. So although I wish you would have had the chance to protest, I'm so glad someone heard his response. Awesome. Freakin awesome.
Hey, No problem. I'm so proud of you guys for taking a stand against that sort of Rhetoric. I would be honored to trade links with you guys.
Let me know on my comments
Just wanted to say thank you for standing up for our Constitution.
You make us proud.
You guys did a phenomenal job. You are brave and better yet, you got terrific media coverage! Not to get hokey, but you made me proud to be an American, seriously.
Thank you so much and from the bottom of my American Heart! Love you kids and keep at it!
I'm a Canadian. You made me proud to be enlightened. Thank you for the strength.
Hi, I'm a Canadian who regularly posts at Democratic Underground.
Let me tell you that you have restored my faith in student activism as a vehicle of political change.
Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the
world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has." -- Margaret Meade- ...
Not many things make me proud to be an American these days. But you guys did. I can't thank you enough.
Morality at work. This was a wonderful and effective action. I salute you all for your moral convictions and your bravery. Alberto Gonzales is a stain on the noble tradition of the law and I hope he will be prosecuted for his activist decision-making that gives a usurper tyrant the legitimacy of a duly elected president. May Gonzales and co. be tried and convicted of treason against the United States of America.
